GENERAL FAQS

What are my end of lease options?

Your options are simple. You can:

  1. Turn in your vehicle and purchase or lease a new Mazda1
  2. Purchase the vehicle you’re currently driving
  3. Return your vehicle to Galpin Mazda

How will Mazda Financial Services contact me before my lease ends?

Leading up to lease-end, you’ll receive various communications from Mazda Financial Services (MFS) about your options and things you need to do. Be on the lookout for information from MFS through Mazdafinancialservices.com, your billing statement, email and/or phone calls.

What is my lease maturity date?

This is the date when your lease agreement ends and your vehicle should be returned to Galpin Mazda (unless you choose the option to purchase your leased vehicle).

What should I bring to my turn-in appointment?

Bring your clean, leased vehicle along with:

  • Odometer Disclosure Statement
  • Tool kit and spare tire, if applicable
  • All sets of keys (masters/remotes/valet), if applicable
  • Owner’s Manuals
  • Any original equipment on your vehicle at lease inception (radio, headrests, 3rd row seat, tonneau/cargo cover, etc.)

As a heads up, if you don’t return the original equipment or keys at the end of your lease, you may receive additional charges based on the terms of your lease agreement.

What if I turn in my vehicle early?

You may return your vehicle prior to your lease maturity date; however, early termination fees may apply. For more info about turning in your lease early, refer to your lease agreement, or contact MFS at 866-693-2332. You may also reach out to us at (888) 966-2127 to get answers to any questions you have about your options.

Should I schedule an appointment to return my vehicle to my Galpin Mazda?

Yes, just give our team a call 30 days prior to your lease maturity date to schedule your lease turn-in appointment. You can reach us at (888) 966-2127.

What charges should I expect on my End of Term Invoice after I turn in my vehicle?

Like you, we hope you have no charges on your lease-end, but it’s possible these may be included, if applicable:2

  1. Excess wear and use
  2. Excess mileage
  3. Disposition fee
  4. Any past due and unpaid monthly payments
  5. Any other miscellaneous charges (e.g., unpaid late payment fees, taxes, tolls)
  6. Any other charges due under the terms of your lease agreement if your lease was terminated early

Do I need to cancel any electronic payments at the end of my lease?

Yes, and this is one people forget. If you’ve returned your vehicle, please remember to cancel any automated payments you may have set up through either Mazdafinancialservices.com or your bank.

How do I purchase my current vehicle?

First, great decision. Next, get a payoff quote by logging into your MFS online account or contacting MFS at 866-693-2332. If you need financing, you can head straight to your Galpin Mazda for help.

What’s the easiest way to get into a new Mazda?

Just bring your vehicle back to Galpin Mazda at the end of your lease and we can help you with the rest.

WEAR AND USE FAQS

What’s considered excessive wear and use?

Any damage that is beyond normal wear and tear is considered excessive. Some examples might include tears or burns on upholstery, missing or broken equipment or large dents or scratches on the exterior of the vehicle.

If it helps to see some examples of what’s considered excessive, check out Mazda’s Wear and Use Guidelines. We also recommend reviewing your lease agreement as it includes additional excess wear and use information specific to your vehicle.

Just a heads-up, though, the examples provided may not include all instances of excessive damage that could subject you to additional charges based on the terms of your lease agreement.

Can I make repairs to my leased vehicle so I do not incur wear and use charges?

Of course. If repair work is needed and you’d like to make repairs prior to turning in the vehicle, Galpin Mazda will be glad to assist you. Be sure to keep all of your receipts for repairs made and review your insurance policy to see if any items may be covered.

If your damages exceeding normal wear and use aren’t repaired, it can result in charges at lease termination. All charges may be subject to sales tax.

MILEAGE FAQS

Where can I find my mileage allowance?

The easiest way to find your mileage allowance is by looking at your lease agreement.

If you can’t find your lease agreement, Galpin Mazda will gladly help you find it.

What if I go over my mileage allowance?

You simply need to call Galpin Mazda at (888) 966-2127 and we can give you more information on any potential charges.

Can I get additional miles?

Unfortunately, Mazda is not currently offering that as an option.
